EXAMPLE OF A NEW EXCEL DEVELOPMENT SOLUTION
A piece of analysis work was carried out by our Excel Developer, to design a root cause analysis spreadsheet, in order to understand why the number of leads dropped so dramatically in a single quarter. It was used during an Opportunity Analysis Workshop, to run a deep dive analysis. The report allowed a team to work together to identify the problem areas quickly and accurately. Ultimately it meant that teams, using the report after the workshop, could now spend a greater proportion of the time on developing an effective action/recovery plan, based on the findings within the report.
“What this report gave the team, that they did not get from elsewhere, was the ability to look at the different elements of their leads on a week by week trend basis (rather than a one off snapshot) and do drill downs into specific problem areas. From opportunity identifier to deals that appear/disappear, to number of opportunities that are making up the pipeline and therefore indicate level of risk. This is all very helpful to the program manager in both problem determination and as a basis for new action development.”
This development work, carried out, was found to be so useful to the local team that it was rolled it out initially for Europe and later globally.
